Godlewski, Beverly Ann

Beverly Ann Godlewski, Age 90, of Stuart, FL., formerly of Newark and Claymont, DE., passed away October 27, 2022, peacefully in her sleep. Beverly was born in Wilmington, DE., to the late Mary Moreland and John Jeandell.

Beverly married Edward M. Godlewski, a veteran of World War II, and devoted her earlier life to caring for her growing family that would include seven children. She enjoyed crocheting, bowling league, playing cards and volunteering for fund raising activities at her church. She was a member of Holy Rosary Church and St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton in Delaware. After her children grew up, she worked in Dietary at Christiana Hospital in Newark, DE., until she retired at 65. Up until her death, she enjoyed the many social activities in her assisted living, The Sheridan in Hobe Sound FL., and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents and loving husband, Edward, of 23 years, Beverly was predeceased by her sons Edward and Thomas Godlewski and her daughter Janet Graw. She is survived by four of her children, Bernice Estock (George) of Land O’ Lakes, FL., Marcia Kurtz (Jim) of Stuart, FL., Linda Houck of Wyomissing, PA., and David Godlewski of Townsend, DE., 11 Grand Children, Joy Stout (Julian), Brooke Girard (Micah), Sharon Ray (Jeremy), George Ryan Estock, Scott Baron, Kaitlin Leiva (Francisco), Ashley Williams (Ghason), Andrew Houck (Iulia), Christina Houck (Missy), Kristen and Megan Godlewski and 17 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of Beverly’s Life will be held on Monday, December 19 at 12 noon at McCrery and Harra Funeral Homes 3924 Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE where friends may greet the family after 11 am. Interment will be held privately at Cathedral Cemetery.

Donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN., 38105. This was Beverly’s favorite charity.
