We are sad to announce the death of Barbara Lynn Meyer, age 65, who passed away November 20, 2022 peacefully in her hospital bed with her family present. Barbara had Multiple Sclerosis for several decades, survived Leukemia, and passed away after a brief illness.
Barbara was born in Wilmington on September 8, 1957 and attended Concord High School and was a graduate of the University of Delaware. She worked for DuPont as an executive secretary until MS took away her ability to continue. She volunteered at Little Sisters of the Poor for several years and served as a leader of the local MS Support group as long as her health permitted.
Barbara is survived by her daughter Shannon Kern, and her husband Greg, and their children Alex, Julian, and TJ, all of Delaware; brother Bruce Meyer, and his wife Alice; niece Josette, and her husband Jason, and their child Juno, all of South Carolina.
A memorial service will be held at McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3924 Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE 19803 on Friday, January 13, 2023 at 11 am. The family will greet friends beginning at 10 am.
