William Bryan Lewis, Sr.
\ “Wild Bill”
February 11, 1973 - October 25, 2022
Bill passed away peacefully in his home at the age of 49 on Tuesday, October 25. Bill was born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware, attended Delcastle Technical and John Dickinson High Schools, and was a craftsman in any trade that he put his mind to. Everyone who knew Bill felt his big heart and giving nature. While he loved a good party in his youth, he was proud to have gained his sobriety and recently celebrated 5 years. He was quick to crack a joke and even quicker to lend a helping hand to anyone who asked. He could often be found spending time with his son while teaching and sharing his love of basketball, taking long walks around Bellevue Park, watching shows about paranormal activity, and plotting their trip to find Bigfoot. Bill was a huge sports fan and loved the Eagles! Bill will be remembered as a loving father, brother, son, and fiancé, and beloved by all who knew him.
Bill was preceded in death by his father, William J. Lewis, and daughter, Logan Lewis, and survived by his sons, William B. Lewis, Jr, and Mason Lewis, grandson, William B. Lewis III, his mother, Ellen Lewis, his sisters, Kim Rachiele (Tony) and Teresa Rinaldi, his brother, Matthew Lewis (Carol), and fiancé, Stefanie Dych, many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
In lieu of flowers, donations to offset the funeral cost may be made to the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3924 Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE 19803.
