Wilmington - It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Daniel Cantera on October 9, 2022, at the age of 68. He will be missed and fondly remembered.
Danny was born in Wilmington, DE on July 20, 1954, the son of the late Marie (Dri) Cantera and Harry Cantera. He graduated from St. Elizabeth’s High School and worked at Ezio Car Care Center for many years up to his retirement. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan who enjoyed vacationing in Atlantic City, listening to music, and horse racing.
He is survived by his daughter, Danielle Cantera; sisters, Rose Marshallsea, Tish Cantera-Firmani (James); nieces, Elana Marshallsea, Jacqueline Firmani; and nephew, Christiaän Firmani.
A visitation will be on Tuesday October 18 from 12 pm - 1 pm followed by a 1 pm Mass of Christian Burial at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church, 809 S. Broom St., Wilmington, DE 19805. Entombment will be in Cathedral Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Horizon House, 1902 Maryland Avenue, Wilmington, DE 19805.
