Reazor, Susan E.

Susan E. Reazor passed away on October 2, 2022 at home.

Susan was born in Wilmington, DE to Carol Sirkowski and David Bartram.

Susan was a graduate of Glasgow High School and the University of Delaware. Susan most recently worked as a para-professional at her beloved Maclary Elementary School.

Susan is survived by her three children, Gavin, Owen and Brynn; her parents Carol Sirkowski and David Bartram (Jane); her sister Jennifer Prybolsky (Rob) and their three children Robbie, Lily and Cora; her brother William Bartram (Anne Lund) and their daughter Alex; her mother-in-law Margaret “Peggy” Reazor; her brothers-in-law James Reazor (Jenny Davies-Reazor) and B.J. Reazor (Lisa Sorantino); her aunt Phebe Bederman: and cousins Eric Bederman (Amy) & Evan Bederman (Linda). Susan is also survived by a large and loving extended Reazor family. Susan was preceded in death by her husband Jason Reazor.

Susan was defined by her love of her family. Susan and Jason’s love for each other was deep and true. Their three children were truly the most important part of their lives. They dedicated themselves to each other and to their children. Susan’s caring and engaging personality made her a born teacher! Susan touched so many lives as a pre-school teacher with Bright Horizons and the Western YMCA, and lastly as a para-professional in the Kindergarten room at Maclary. Susan spent countless hours planning activities and then gave 100% of herself to the children in her classrooms! When Susan took a break from paid employment to dedicate herself to her own children while they were in elementary school, she always organized the best crafts and activities for Gavin, Owen, Brynn and the cousins Robbie, Lily, Cora and Alex when she visited from Seattle. Susan might not have been paid, but she was a fixture at her children’s schools. At some point during her 13 years with a child at Maclary, Susan held pretty much every PTA position! Susan loved to serve in any way she could and she was an exceptional organizer. Susan had a keen eye for detail and nothing gave Susan more pleasure than checking off an item on her list! As first Gavin and then Owen moved on to Shue and Newark High School, Susan brought that same desire to serve, energy and passion to their schools. Susan served on both PTAs and volunteered for the NHS Music Boosters. To say she was selfless is an understatement. Susan’s mission in life was to love her family and her community and she did both until the very end.
