Athanasios (Thanos) Alexandridis passed away on Sunday September 11, 2022 at the age of 82.
He was born in Athens, Greece to Aspasia (Grigoras) and Nicholaos Alexandridis. Thanos lived an exciting life working on Greek cruise ships and travelling the world. He later settled in Wilmington Delaware where he married the love of his life Sharon Kitchen. They were inseparable. They traveled to Greece several times together and were active members of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
He was a kind, hard working and compassionate person. He had a sharp sense of humor and always had a smile on his face. When Sharon passed away in 2015 a piece of Thanos went with her.
Thanos is predeceased by his parents Nicholaos & Aspasia, brother Kyriakos (Marianthi) Alexandridis and his wife Sharon.
Thanos is survived by his nephew Nicholas Alexandridis, niece Evangelia Alexandridis, grand-nephew Kyriakos Alexandridis, uncle Constantinos (Aspasia) Grigoras and many cousins.
A service will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 808 N. Broom Street, Wilmington, DE 19806. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
