Holly Ann Walls-Dorio, age 52 of Newark, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 8, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Holly grew up in Marshalltown, DE and was loved and raised by her Mother, Eunice Walls, and Dad, Timothy Tansley. She was the youngest of 6 children.
Holly was a Senior Vice President at Bank of America, where she proudly worked for 34 years. During her time at the bank, she held various positions, and was highly respected by her colleagues. She was active in her community, volunteering and raising awareness for many different organizations, such as Habitat for Humanity, American Cancer Society and Attack Addiction.
Holly is survived by her loving partner of 15 years, Tristan Parker; her greatest blessings of all, her 2 children, Samantha Walls-Dorio and Nicholas Walls-Dorio; and her fur baby kitten, Nugget “the Puppy” Mittens Paul, and an abundance of loving family and friends.
Holly is proceeded in death by many family members and friends, and we know that they were there to greet her at the gates of Heaven waiting to see her beautiful, one of a kind smile.
Holly had a strong work ethic and would do anything for her friends and family. She was known for her genuine personality, contagious laugh and humor. You could often find her spending time thrifting, visiting the DE beaches, watching NASCAR or attending concerts. She was known for her “coffee chats” where she caught up with those closest to her.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 20 from 10-11:45 am at St. Elizabeth Roman Catholic Church, Cedar & Clayton Streets (809 S Broom St.) Wilmington Delaware 19805, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 noon. Burial will be held privately.
