Phyllis peacefully transitioned to a better life with her heavenly family on August 25, 2022 at Seasons Hospice at Christiana Care Hospital in Newark, Delaware.
Phyllis was born to Kelly Davis and Debbie Lewis on August 19, 1944 in Pocohontas, VA. Later Phyllis moved to Pennsville, NJ, where she raised her four children, Theresa Hill (Glen) of Zephyrhills, FL, Roscoe (Rocky) Vinicombe, Norman Leap and Debbie Leap of Newark, DE. Phyllis is survived by her husband, Larry Curtis, four children, eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, husband (Wilbert Leap) and seven siblings.
Phyllis loved to cook and especially bake Christmas cookies which she lovingly gave to family, neighbors and friends as gifts. Bingo was her favorite game and she looked forward to Bingo night with her friends. Later Phyllis moved to Tupper Plains and Coolville, OH, when she and her husband retired. Recently she moved back to Delaware to be near her family.
A Memorial Service will be held at McCrery & Harra Funeral Homes, 3710 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington Delaware 19808 on Friday, September 2, 2022 at 2:30 pm.
