Evelyn Marie(nee Lewis) Boord, age 98, passed away on August 28, 2022 at the Christiana Hospital.
She was born to the late Earl and Ethel Cumberland Lewis. Evelyn was a wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and was loved by everyone who met her. She was a dedicated bible reader and enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and her two favorite little girls, Haley and Kenna
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, George W. Boord, her son Dana R. Boord, her grandson, Steven W. Semenkow, her brothers, Earl W. Lewis, Jr., William W. Lewis, Lloyd R. Lewis, her sisters, Priscilla May John, Betty Jane Meliher and D. Faye Reckner. Evelyn is survived by her children, Judith E. Semenkow (Norbert), Sandra D. Crusse, Jeffrey W. Boord, her sister, Virginia Lewis, Gertrude Cirota and her brother, C. Wayne Lewis, 5 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren and her special friend, Linda Mooney.
Friends may call on Thursday, September 1, 2022 from 12:00-1:00 pm. At the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3924 Concord Pike (Rt. 202 South of Silverside Road) Wilmington, DE 19803 where a service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Aston, PA.
