Richard A. Higgins, age 68, of Wilmington, formerly of Claymont died at home on Saturday, August 13, 2022 with his wife and son by his side.
Richard graduated from Claymont High School in 1972 and spent his career working for the Franklin Mint in Wawa, Pennsylvania in the warehouse. Richard was a long-time member of Holy Rosary Church, and in his spare time enjoyed sailing out of Pot-Nets into the Indian River Bay. He will be remembered as a person who was willing to lend a hand to others; Richard often gave friends and co-workers rides.
In addition to his wife Geraldine, Richard is survived by his children Edward and Daniel Higgins and brother Dennis Higgins of Easton, PA. He was predeceased by his brother James Higgins.
A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will by offered at Holy Rosary Church, 3200 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703 on Thursday, August 25 at 10:30 am. Friends are invited to pay their respects at church beginning at 9:30 am. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to a charity of your choice.
