Carolyn McCloskey Fenno left this world in peace on July 29, 2022.
Daughter of Ann Schlusher and Henry McCloskey she was born December 17, 1941 in Christiansburg, Virginia. Carolyn was a 1960 graduate of P.S. duPont High School.
Carolyn built a successful career at Wilmington Trust Company, where she worked herself up the corporate ladder dominated mostly by men. Carolyn made lifelong friendships with strong independent women with whom she flourished. She enjoyed travel to New York City, Italy, and her beloved Egypt telling stories of love, food and camel back sunrises. Carolyn enjoyed music, going to the opera, reading the classics, dining at Attilios, and feeding the birds off of her balcony. Family dinners were always more special with Aunt CC in attendance.
Carolyn is survived by her dear cousin Beverly Foust (Ronald), their children Ronell O’Kussick (Tony), Melissa Schuibbeo (Mike), great niece and nephews Ryan, Leah, Evan, and Hunter all of whom adored her. Her devoted friend and neighbor Regina Mancini who shared her love of cats, Toby and Nigel.
