David Harold Grubbs, age 55, of Long Beach California and formerly of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Ann Arbor, Michigan and Wilmington, Delaware died at home on June 7, 2021.
He was born in Anaheim, California and is the son of Karen and Harold Grubbs. David graduated from Shaler Area High School, Pittsburgh, PA in 1983 and attended Washtenaw Community College in Ypsilanti, MI. He proudly served his country and was honorably discharged as a PFC from the US Army. David was stationed in Germany.
He worked at various manufacturing companies as a quality control technician and as a quality assurance manager at Safran Aerosystems.
David always looked forward to his summer visits to Ocean City, MD with his family, especially playing with his grandsons in the water. He also enjoyed biking to his local beaches including, Laguna Beach and Long Beach, CA. Along with his parents Harold and Karen of Wilmington, DE, David is survived by his son Brandon Grubbs (Mary) of Claymont, DE; 3 grandsons, Jackson Grubbs, Tyler Berto and Gavin Berto; a sister, Diana Carver (Tom) and nieces, Sarah, Rachel and Bethany Carver.
A Gathering at the home of David’s parents will be held on Sunday, July 24, from 2-4 pm, with a time of remembrance at 3 pm.
