Laci May Ackerson “ootie Booty” was born at 12:46pm on February 28, 2020, weighing 6lb 7oz, at Kent General Hospital. She passed away in the arms of her parents Christopher and Lisa Ackerson (nee Alphin) on June 28, 2022.
Laci loved to sing dance and be outside. Laci would run out the front door to play any second she got. She loved to be around all of her friends and family. She loved to swing on the swing set with her brother and sister and the porch swing with Poppop. She enjoyed being outside feeding all her animals, playing in the water, sand, and dirt. If anyone needed “help” she was the first one there. Snack time or any food time was her time especially if donuts were involved. Her smile, laugh and sassy little attitude could make any darkness turn to light.
Laci is survived by her parents Christopher and Lisa Ackerson, siblings Kylee and Connor, fur-baby Donut, grandparents Terry and Joyce Alphin, and Dan and Carol Phillips, along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Laci is a loving beautiful daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend. She walked through the pearly white gates with her long blonde curls bouncing, her bright blue eyes shining and her big Laci smile all while being greeted by many relatives.
Laci’s services will be held Tuesday, July 5th at McCrery & Harra Funeral Home located at 3710 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19808. Her viewing will be held from 10am-12pm with her service beginning at 12pm. There will be a celebration of life from 2pm-6pm at the Correctional Officers Association of Delaware, 1243 College Park Dr. Dover, DE 19904.
Our family wishes that anyone who attends does NOT wear black outfits. We would love to see the rooms filled with pink (her favorite color) or another bright color.
