Margaret Ann Lemon, age 90, of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2022. She was born and raised on the Eastern Shore, MD and was the daughter of the late Anna (Woolford) and Albert W. Greaves, Sr.
Margaret graduated from Centreville HS in 1948. She then attended Goldey-Beacom School of Business. After her marriage in 1953, she started her most cherished task, raising a family and being a devoted wife and loving mother.
Her husband of 64 years, Paul V. Lemon died in 2017. Margaret is survived by her daughter Brenda Lemon (Valarie Thawley). She is also preceded in death by a son, Thomas V. and 3 brothers, Albert, Jr., William and Daniel “Edward” Greaves.
A viewing will be held at McCrery & Harra Funeral Homes, 3710 Kirkwood Hwy from 10-11 am on Thursday, June 23, where a funeral service will follow at 11am. Burial will be at Silverbrook Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Tri-State Bird Rescue & Research, 170 Possum Hollow Rd., Newark, DE 19711.
