Lewandowski, Albert

Albert S. Lewandowski, age 81, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on June 3rd, 2022. Albert was born in Wilmington, DE to the late Stanley J. Lewandowski and Mary Danish Lewandowski. He was a graduate of Salesianum High School and Villanova University. Albert was a letter carrier with the US Postal Service for over 30 years.

What Albert enjoyed most was being with his beloved wife of fifty years, Mary Ann. They both loved spending time with their family, especially their grandchildren. His grandchildren loved him very much as well. He was their “Dzia Dziu” and always will be. He loved to work with his hands and would put in floors, build cabinets, pretty much fix up everything. He enjoyed telling jokes and making everyone smile. He was a devout Catholic who knew and loved the Lord. All will remember him as a man who would welcome anyone. He always stood up for what he believed in and was kind to all.

Albert is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Ann Lewandowski (Harris); his children, Benjamin Lewandowski (Megan) and Mary Anthos (Jonathan); his brother, Stanley Lewandowski (Bernie); sister, Marie Elaine Moran (John); brother-in law, Joseph Uniatowski; his sister-in-law, Beverly Harris; grandchildren, Adora, Kyra, Chloe, Henry, Cecilia and Peter; and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and others who loved him as well. Albert was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Ann Uniatowski.

Visitation will be from 5-7 on June 8th, 2022 at McCrery & Harra Funeral Home (3710 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19808).
