Samuel C. Graham, Jr. “Sam”, age 90, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully at home on May 24, 2022.
He was born and raised in Greenville, DE and was the son of the late Catharine and S. Clyde Graham, Sr. Sam graduated from A.I. DuPont HS in 1949. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force.
Sam worked as an estate manager at the William F. Raskob Estate in Greenville, DE then at the M. L. McHugh Estate, also in Greenville, retiring in 2010 upon her death.
He enjoyed happy hours, local restaurants, woodworking, country music and shopping for new cars. What brought Sam the most joy was being with his family.
Sam was preceded in death by his first wife of 18 years, Esther Marice Graham, who passed away in 1973. He is survived by his current wife of 47 years, Patricia Graham; 2 daughters, Debra Christensen (Joel) and Sandra Moore (Adam); 6 grandchildren, David, Beth, Don, Eric, Kim and Brad; 7 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Marjorie Lake and Catharine Jester and daughter-in-law, Pat Graham. Sam was also preceded in death by his son Stephen Graham; 2 brothers, Marshall Graham and Allen Graham and sister, Eunice Graham.
A viewing will be held on Wed. June 1 from 6-8pm at McCrery & Harra Funeral Homes, 3710 Kirkwood Hwy, Wilmington. A service will be on Thur. June 2 at the funeral home at 11 am. Entombment will follow at Silverbrook Cemetery.
