Marjorie Wohl Roberts of Arden, Delaware, died on April 10, 2022, at the age of 97. Marge grew up in Woodmere, Long Island, NY. She attended the NY Institute of Fashion Design, which began her life-long passion for art. This appreciation for art mirrored her innate elegance and her natural ability to find the beauty surrounding her.
Marge married her first husband Murray Laskey, and they landed in Arden, DE, in the early 50s, where they raised their daughters. While her girls were still young, Marge studied painting with various artists including Charles Vinson and Tom Bostelle. As a teacher and participant, Marge painted at the Academy of Lifelong Learning and Cokesbury.
In 1978, Marge married her beloved Hugh Roberts. They were happily married for 44 years, enjoying time spent with family, friends, their animals and participating in all that Arden had to offer. Hugh passed away just two months before Marge.
In addition to her husband, Marge was predeceased by her parents (Louis and Mildred Wohl), her sister (Helen Miller), and her brother (Burton Wohl). She is survived by daughters Ellen Laskey Dolmetsch (Jack), Robin Laskey Chipman (Bruce), and granddaughters Liza Dolmetsch and Hannah Chipman (Kevin).
