She met and married her husband Yi-chun (Patrick) Chang in Washington, D.C. They moved to Delaware in 1968 when he joined the faculty of the University of Delaware.

Nina had a long career as a well-respected estate planner. She joined the Trust Department of Bank of Delaware (later PNC Bank) in 1979, became a Certified Financial Planner and Accredited Estate Planner, and left PNC Bank in 1992 as a Vice President and Senior Trust Officer to launch the Trust Department of the Christiana Bank & Trust Company in Greenville, DE. As an only child, she treasured the sisterhood she found as a member of the Delaware State Chapter of P.E.O. International. She was an avid reader, a budding bridge player, and thoroughly enjoyed cooking and baking.

Nina is survived by her two daughters, Catharine J. Chang (Ron) of Newtown, PA and Nina J. Chang (Craig) of Wilmington, DE.
