Jane B. Sawicki, age 82 formerly of Linwood, PA passed away on March 1, 2022. She was born and raised in Media, PA and was the daughter of the late Beulah (Baker) and Wilmer Evans. Jane graduated from Media High School in 1957.
After graduation, she worked at Doc’s Pharmacy in Aston delivering necessary medical prescriptions. Jane worked most of her life at Fulton Beverage in Chester and later in Upper Chi. Jane continued her career at the Village Market in Claymont, DE where many customers soon became life-long friends.
Jane enjoyed traveling with the family to the sunny shores of the Caribbean, including Cozumel, Haiti, Puerto Rico, Bahamas and Jamaica. In addition, she loved her baseball, spending time at the ballpark with the family on Sundays in spring and summer to watch her beloved Phillies.
Predeceased by her cherished husband of 47 years, Charles E Sawicki Jr; Jane is survived by her son Charles E. Sawicki III, “Chuck” and his wife Michelle; 2 treasured granddaughters, Angelina and Chelsea; and a brother, Wilmer Evans, Jr.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 11, at 11 am at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Homes, 3924 Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE., where friends may call after 10.
