Lupfer, Beverly

Beverly Lupfer, 88, of Wilmington, Delaware, met her Lord and Savior on Friday, February 25, 2022. She passed away peacefully, at home. Beverly was born to the late Paul and Dorothy Ross on April 21, 1933 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. After graduating from Lower Paxton High School, she went on to earn her Biology Degree from Lebanon Valley College. Beverly married the love of her life, her Renaissance man, Lloyd Lupfer, in 1956 and they enjoyed 57 years of marriage. Together they had four children, David Lupfer (Daphne), Andrew Lupfer (Karen), Amy Patterson (Edward), and John Lupfer (Kerri). She also had six grandchildren, Sasha Ryan (Colbey), Lauren Bailey (Michael), Patrick Reilly (Claire), Max Lupfer, Matthew Lupfer, and Brayden Lupfer, and four great-grandchildren, Colton, Kayden, Cannon and Nora.

Over the years the family lived in many places, including Holland, Belgium, and England, bringing a lot of opportunities to travel. Beverly was happiest when she was surrounded by her family, and she enjoyed spending time at the cabin in Henry’s Valley. Not only was she an avid reader, bridge player, and rubber stamper, she also loved animals, antiques, and anything Penn State.

A Celebration of Life ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, March 5, at 2:00 pm at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home at 3924 Concord Pike in Wilmington. The family will receive visitors at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the K-9 for Warriors Foundation (https://k9sforwarriors.org/financial-donation/) or Tunnels to Towers (https://t2t.org/).
