Judith Lorraine (Ennamorato) Emmi, age 81 of North Wales, PA, formerly of Claymont, DE, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2022.
She was born and raised in Chester, PA and was the daughter of the late Mary (Booth) and John Ennamorato. Judith graduated from Chester HS in 1958. She later returned to her schooling and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of Delaware in 1984.
Judith started her working career in 1960, as a medical administrative assistant in Philadelphia, PA until 1965. Then in 1975, she became a teacher’s aide/school nurse in the Brandywine School District until 1982. In 1985, Judith was a Special Ed. Teacher in the Red Clay School District, retiring in 1999.
She enjoyed gardening, painting and her many pets throughout her life. Mostly, Judith will be remembered as a devoted wife and a loving mother.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Anthony R. Emmi; a son, Christopher A. Emmi (Donna Marie Jones Emmi), 2 siblings, Robert Ennamorato (Marietta) and Patricia Bowers, along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, March 2 from 10-11 am, at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Homes, 3924 Concord Pike, Wilmington, where a funeral service will follow at 11 am. Burial will be at Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, PA.
