James Edward Tarburton III, age 75 passed away on Sunday morning, February 13, 2022 after a battle with dementia.
Jim was born November 7, 1946 in Wilmington DE. He was a Sergeant First Class in the Army Reserves where he served before being honorably discharged after 20 years of service. Jim enjoyed going to the beach, camping and traveling to Disney with his family.
He is predeceased by his parents James E. Tarburton Jr. and Pauline Tarburton, also his brother John. Jim is survived by his brothers, Larry (Marianne), Donny, Kenny (Beth) with whom he lived, Tommy (Betty). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Jim shared a special bond with brother Donny and also his Godson Kyle. He adored the families 4 Great Danes but thought of Callie the Saint Bernard as his own.
Family and friends may call from 9-10 Monday, February 28, 2022 at the McCrery and Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Hwy and Duncan Rd. Wilmington, DE 19808 where service will follow at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. for those who wish to attend.
