Eleanor B. Fanning, passed away on Thursday February 3, 2022, her 88th birthday. She was the daughter of the late Warren G. and Lillian Fanning. She was predeceased by her brother Warren and her sister Martha. Eleanor was a long-term employee of Bank of Delaware, now PNC. She was a member of Marshallton United Methodist Church from her childhood. Eleanor enjoyed gardening and cooking and was a devoted caregiver to her sister and her aunt, Anna Breeding. She will be missed by the neighbors, friends and caregivers who looked after her over the last few years.
There will be a graveside service for Eleanor on Monday February 14 at 1pm at Silverbrook Cemetery, 3300 Lancaster Ave. Wilmington, 19805. In lieu of flowers, donations in Eleanor’s memory may be made to Delaware Hospice, 16 Polly Drummond Shopping Center, 2nd Floor, Newark, 19711.
