Carroll G. “Crowe” Mattson, age 93 passed away on January 27, 2022 at home.
He was born in Unionville, PA to the late Palmer and Genevieve Mattson. Crowe was U. S. Army veteran. He had been a professional baseball player for the New York Giants. Crowe was a self-employed carpenter. He enjoyed playing golf, snow skiing and anything athletic.
Crowe was preceded in death by his brother, Palmer Mattson (Jean) and his sister, Jeanette Dunn (Bob). He is survived his wife of 27 years, Nancy Mattson, his son, Michael Mattson, his brother Ronald Mattson (Jeannie) and his former wife, Logene Mattson.
Due to Covid-19 mask are required . A viewing will be held on Thursday, February 3, 2022 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19808 where a service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made Little Sisters of the Poor ,185 Salem Church Rd., Newark 19713.
