Margaret “Peggy” Voss, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully at her home in Exton, PA, on January 16, 2022 at the age of 91. Peggy was born and raised in Wilmington, DE, and was the daughter of the late Robert and Rebecca Dolde. She graduated top of her class from P.S. DuPont High School and Summa Cum Laude from West Chester University. She worked for the U.S. Attorney’s Office and Devereaux Foundation.
Peggy loved the beach and was an avid boater for over 70 years. In the past twenty years, she lived at the beach in both Corolla, NC and Fernandina Beach, FL. She also loved to cook and was an amazing hostess. She was a voracious reader and was always surrounded by her beloved pets. Her laughter would fill a room and she always made you feel incredibly welcome.
Her husband of 66 years, Earl W. Voss, preceded her in death in 2016. She is survived by her children, Robert W. Voss and his wife Kelly and John E. Voss and his wife Cathy as well as her 4 grandchildren, William, James, Madeline and Olivia. She touched the lives of so many others with her unconditional love, generosity, and kindness. She will be forever missed.
Friends and family may call on Saturday, January 22 at 10 am at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3924 Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE 19803 where a service will follow at 10:30 am. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery, 3300 N Market St, Wilmington, DE 19802. (The burial will be on the “East” of Market Street, the side where the office is).
