William H. Barry of Wilmington, DE passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on December 13, 2021. Born and raised in Delaware, Bill was the son of the late John T. and Mildred F. Barry. Bill served in the US Army and was retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 42 years of dedicated service.
Bill was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 60 years, Norma; and grandson, Brandall.
He is survived by his children, Steve (Shirley) and Donna (Bill); 3 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson. He is also survived by a brother, J. Robert (Judy); brother-in-law Richard (Susan); sister-in-law Joyce and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Nancy, Kelly and all those at Heartland/ProMedica Hospice for the exceptional care and kindness they showed to not just Bill but his family.
Visitation will be held December 21, 2021 from 9:00-10:00 at McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19808. Burial will be private.
