Margaret L. Hoban “Peggy” passed away on December 15, 2021 at Seasons Hospice, Christiana Hospital.
She was born in Ashland, PA to the late John and Anna Kane. Peggy was a homemaker and enjoyed bingo, fishing, playing cards and going to Delaware Park. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her two cats Minnie and Rambo.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, James L. Hoban, her twin sister Mary Davis, her sister, Shirley Halko and her best friend and neighbor, Jean Rapone. Peggy is survived by her children Jim Hoban (Marilyn), Marge Hagerty (Don), Barbara Ingman (James), John Hoban (Angela), her grandchildren, Jessica Ashback (Justin), Shawn Hagerty, Morgan Flynn (Norman), Michelle Hoban, Lisa Weldin (Keith) and John Hoban, and 10 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Monday, December 20, 2021 from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19808 where a service will follow at 1:00 p.m. The family would like to thank Nurse John from Seasons Hospice for the excellent care he provided to Peggy.
