Joan H. Carroll, 49, of Wilmington, DE., passed away on November 28, 2021. Joan grew up in Aston, PA and was a graduate of Cardinal O’Hara High School in Springfield, PA and the Venus Beauty Academy. Joan loved the beach, was a mother to all, and was especially fond of her nieces and nephews. She was preceded ion death by her parents Walter J. and Joan P. Gaudioso, and her sister Rita M. (Gaudioso) McAdams. Joan is survived by her husband, David J. Carroll and her sons, David J. Carroll, Jr. and Steven W. Carroll, all of Wilmington; brothers Joseph Gaudioso (Cheri) of Glen Mills, PA., and Walter Gaudioso (Melissa) of Wilmington; her mother in-law Marilyn Calhoun of Wilmington, father in-law William Carroll of Ridley, PA, sister in-law Maureen Earnest of Newark and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends are welcome on Wednesday December 8 from 10 am – 12pm with a service at 12pm at McCrery and Harra Funeral Home, 3924 Concord Pike Wilmington 19803. Burial will follow in Edgewood Memorial Park, Glen Mills, PA.
