Wilmington-Philip S. “Mitch” Mitchener, Jr., age 93, passed away on November 20, 2021.
Mitch was born and raised in Wilmington, DE and was the third of four children to the late Philip and Marie Mitchener. He graduated from Brown Vo-Tech HS.
Mitch was a pipefitter and started his career at BF Shaw Company for 10 years then he worked for Local 74 and retired after 32 years.
He enjoyed going to the beach each summer and watching football but mostly spending time with his family.
Mitch is survived by his wife of 69 years, Sylvia Fay; 2 children, Barry (Debbie) and Patricia Gray, 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Services and Burial will be held privately.
