Arline B. Joyce of Wilmington, Delaware passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at the age of 100.
Arline was born in Wilmington, the daughter of Arlie and Gladys Brown. She was a graduate of PS DuPont High School and worked at the DuPont Company as a receptionist, retiring after 35 years.
After her retirement, Arline and her late husband, Bill, made their home on St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands for two years. She traveled many places, including Hawaii and Alaska. She also enjoyed many crafts, ceramics, and was an avid reader.
Along with her parents, Arline was predeceased by her husband, William T. Joyce; a sister, Betty Hare; and a step-great-granddaughter, Erin Ventura. She is survived by her nephews, Robert, Michael, and Glenn Hare; step-daughter, Nancy Jones (Darl); step-granddaughters, Christine LaFazia (John), Sherry Gagne (David), and Dottie Ventura; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
The family would like to thank Compassionate Care Hospice, along with Betty DiDonato and her hospice nurse, Jessica, for all of their support.
Services will be held on Wednesday, December 1 at 11:00 a.m. at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home (3710 Kirkwood Hwy, Wilmington, DE 19808). Friends and family may call beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Silverbrook Cemetery will follow.
