Rae Pauline McKinney, 89, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, peacefully went on to her eternal reward on November 3, 2021, surrounded by loved ones.
Pauline McKinney is survived by her children, Rev. Dan and Sharon McCready, her grandchildren, Rev Jake McCready, Jamie Chessor (Rev. Kyle Chessor), Jordan McCready (Chris McCready), and Jenna Rae McCready. She is also survived by her two great grandsons, three great granddaughters, and her sister-in-law and best friend, Wanda Cable. She is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Robert L. McKinney, and her daughter, Sheila L. McKinney.
Pauline was born to Robert and Julia Taylor on November 15, 1931 in Marion, North Carolina. On September 5, 1951 she married the love of her life, Robert McKinney. From that point on, Pauline devoted her life to following Christ, raising her family and serving others as a devoted pastor’s wife and an example of grace and quiet strength. Rev. Robert and Pauline McKinney pastored in four states, and impacted thousands of lives by their testimony. Pauline always made sure that her home and table was open to anyone that had need, and no one left her presence without know that they were loved and cared for.
Services for Sis. McKinney will be held on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at McCrery Funeral Home on Kirkwood Highway. The viewing will be from 10-11 AM with the service and graveside committal to follow.
