Carol A. Johnson, 86, of Wilmington, DE., passed away on October 22, 2021.
Carol had worked as a secretary at the DuPont Company as well as many other places during her lifetime and really enjoyed her work. She was an avid Phillies fan, loved “Old” country music, NASCAR, bowling, and was especially fond of her granddaughter Nikki and would avidly follow her softball games.
Carol was preceded in death by her husband Walter “Walt” Johnson and her brothers John and David Allison.
She is survived by her son, Mark D. Johnson, her daughter, Karen Elliott and her husband Steven, and granddaughter Nikki; her sisters Ann Merkh, Noelle Woodham, and brother in-law William S. Johnson.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday November 3, from 6-8 pm at McCrery and Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Highway Wilmington, 19808. The service will be held on Thursday afternoon at 12:30 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Delaware Veterans Cemetery, Bear, DE. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Faithful Friends Animal Society, 12 Germay Dr. Wilmington, DE 19804.
