Kinsler, Jean M.

Wilmington - Mrs. Jean M. Kinsler (nee: Sheehan), peacefully passed away on Monday, September 13, 2021 at home with her loved ones by her side. Jean was born and raised in Mt. Carmel, PA by the late Bartholomew and Mary Sheehan before moving to Chester, PA as a young woman. Jean spent the early part of her career in Administration at Westinghouse before moving to Delaware and finding her niche in fine jewelry sales, eventually retiring in the mid 90’s from Service Merchandise on Concord Pike.

Jean loved to dance and sing. She enjoyed playing cards with friends and traveling up and down the East Coast, and she also spent 25 straight years visiting Palm Desert to be closer to her son in California. She especially loved seeing her grandkids grow into wonderful young adults.

Jean is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Dick Kinsler; two children, Rick Kinsler of Long Beach, CA (Pia Vedra) and Kris Hague and husband Sean of Wilmington; 2 grandchildren, Dakota Hague and Jacy Hague and one sister, Marion Murray. She is also survived by her nieces, Cheryl Dolan (Pat) and Karen McGlone (Tom); and their children. And she is also survived by her 4-legged grand dog, Loki.

The family would like to express their deep gratitude to the many wonderful Health Professionals at Bayada Home Health Care and Bayada Hospice for their tireless efforts on Jean’s behalf, including a special Thank You to private caregiver Tammy Williams. And a VERY special Thank You to her longtime care giver, Debbie Eubanks.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 from 10-11 am, at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Homes, 3924 Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE where a memorial service will follow at 11 am. Burial will be held privately.
