Fred Robert Thornett, age 95, passed away on August 11, 2021 at home.
He was born in Wilmington, DE to the late Edward and Alice Thornett. Fred served his country in the United States Army during WWII, he was stationed in Panama. He retired as a parts manager at Delaware Oldsmobile. He and his wife Elizabeth enjoyed traveling in their RV.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Elizabeth Ford Thornett.
A service will be held on Wednesday August 18, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the McCrery and Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19808 where friends may call from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Red Clay Presbyterian Cemetery.
