Karen Webb Barksdale, 59, of Wilmington, DE passed away peacefully at her home after a long and hard-fought battle with an A-typical meningioma.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Bonnie Webb. She is survived by her two beloved sons, whom she cherished and proudly considered her greatest accomplishments, Andrew and Adam Barksdale, both of Wilmington, her sister Susan (Russell) Tremont-Whitman of Drexel Hill, PA and nephew, Bill Tremont of Broomall,
In addition to her treasured family, “KB” is survived by a truly dedicated and loyal group of friends and neighbors who lovingly cared for her throughout her three-year battle, as well as the wonderful aides who were faithfully by her side over the recent months.
A well-respected business woman, Karen began her career with NTD-PDD Yellow Pages and was most recently the Director of Sales for Comcast Spotlight. Throughout her career Karen was a highly respected colleague, inspirational leader and mentor to many. Throughout her life “KB” enriched countless lives with her larger-than-life personality, caring heart, unmatched sense of humor and infectious, unforgettable laugh.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 from 9:00-10:30 a.m. at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3924 Concord Pike (Rt. 202 South of Silverside Road), Wilmington, DE 19803. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 4701 Weldin Road, Wilmington, DE 19803. Burial will be in Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
