Roy John Cunningham August 26,1942-June 28th 2021
Roy J. Cunningham passed peacefully at home on June 28th, 2021.
He was born to Joseph and Teresa Cunningham. Born in Mt Holly, he grew up in Maple Shade. Roy attended Drexel University where he earned his Master’s Degree in Metallurgical Engineering. He worked at Boeing from where he retired, yet continued consulting after retirement. He loved and lived his life for the Lord and his family. He was also the chairman of the building committee for the building of Fellowship Bible Church in Sewell, NJ. Roy was an accomplished pianist which was one of his true passions. He also enjoyed studying Bible, spending time with his family, playing golf and watching the Phillies.
His death was preceded by his parents Joseph and Teresa as well as his sister Janet DeLaurentis. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Patricia, his children, their spouses as well as nine grandchildren. Mark and Cheryl Cunningham, Michael and Melissa Cunningham and Amy and Dan Driscoll. His surviving grandchildren are Mark Jr., Brianna, Katie, Jadyn, Andrew, Matthew, Nathan, Ian Cunningham and Charles Driscoll. Roy is also survived by his brothers Dean Cunningham (Joanne), Bruce Cunningham and Glen Cunningham (Nancy).
A service will be held on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at11:00 a.m. at Ogletown Baptist Church 316 Red Mill Road, Newark, DE 19713 where friends may call from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Olivet Cemetery, Pittsgrove, NJ.
