Janice Betty, Avid Reader Janice Betty, age 85, of Lewes, DE became an angel on Sunday, May 30, 2021 at Beebe Medical Center.
Born in 1935 in Wilmington to the late John L. Kusching Sr and Leona M. Kusching. She graduated from Mount Pleasant High School in 1953. Janice was a secretary at Hercules and in her spare time loved to read and watch sports.
She and her husband, Kenny, moved to Pot Nets after Kenny’s retirement. Outdoor activities were a big part of their life, and they created many happy memories boating.
Janice will be remembered by all that knew her as a kind and gentle soul.
Janice was predeceased by her husband Kenneth in 2016. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Kathy L. Kusching, Donald L. Kusching, Karen L. Hope, Amber M. Kusching, Ralph Betty and wife Cathy, and John L. Kusching III, cousins, Arthur Lewis, Jr., Phyllis L. Hawk, William E. Dolson, Charles D. Dolson III, and Beverly Dolson Troiani, and long-time friend Carol Wood Sheldon.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at 1 pm at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3924 Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE 19803. Interment will take place privately.
