Mark Eugene Alford, 63, of Wilmington, Delaware, passed away at his family’s home on May 1, 2021. He leaves a loving family including his sister Kathy Alford Sterritt, two sons Brandon and Benjamin Alford, and two former wives Kelly Heckman and Jean Marie Alford as well as many friends.
A celebration of Mark’s life will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 11:00 AM at McCrery and Harra Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 3924 Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE, where friends may visit after the ceremony.
Mark was a loyal, funny, caring dad and friend. He will be remembered for being his sons’ soccer coach. Also he and his sons loved to go camping with the Boy Scouts and take skiing trips with just the “boys”. The family loved spending time in Ocean City, MD, going to the beach, boating, and tubing. Mark loved to cook for his many friends and family. He had an infectious smile and laugh that will never be forgotten.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing must be observed, and masks must be worn by everyone.
