Wilmington-Caroline R. Pino, age 94, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2021. She was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA and was the daughter of the late Carmen and Millie Fortucci. Caroline graduated from John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls’ HS in 1944.
Following high school, she worked at 20th Century Fox, then at the John Wanamaker Department Store in Wilmington as a personal shopper. She paused her working career to raise a family. Caroline then worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield for 14 years in an administrative capacity.
Caroline never missed the opportunity to socially engage with others. Her keen eye for design led her to floral design, creating arrangements for family and friends. She will best be remembered by her giving and concerned nature, always willing to sacrifice for others.
Caroline’s husband Rosario Pino of 54 years passed away in 2004. Caroline is survived by 2 sons, Mario R. and Paul R. Pino, daughter-in-law Maria T. Pino and 2 grandchildren, Dante and Alexa Pino. She was preceded in death by 2 siblings, Pasquale and Marie Fortucci.
Mass of Christian burial will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Vitas Hospice, 100 Commerce Dr., Suite 302, Newark, DE 19713.
