Walter (Buddy) C. Grubb Jr., born in Easton MD on January 13, 1947 departed this life on March 4, 2021. Buddy spent his early years in Wye Heights MD before moving to New Castle in 1960. He attended De La Warr High School before entering the Army. After his discharge from the Army he enjoyed a career in sales and later was employed as a shuttle driver and independent cab driver. His favorite pastime was being a member of many billiard leagues over the years where he won many trophies.
He was predeceased by his son Christopher. He is survived by his son Anthony (Lynn) and grandsons Anthony Jr., Solomon, Nathanael, and Benjamin. He is also survived by his brothers Wayne Grubb Sr. (Ruth) and David (Donna) along with many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday March 25 from 10:30-11:30 am followed by a memorial service at 11:30 am at McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Highway Wilmington 19808. Click here to join Zoom at 11:30 am. Burial will be held at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bear, DE. Masks are required and Covid restrictions will be observed along with building occupancy at the funeral home and cemetery.
