Isabelle Lewis, age 75, of Wilmington died Friday, January 27, 2023.
Born in Madagascar, she met her husband, Art Lewis, in Madagascar in 1967. They lived together in Madagascar for eight years where they traveled to different countries for Art’s job. They returned to the U.S. in 1978 where they lived in Lewisburg, West Virginia, eventually settling in Delaware in 1992.
Isabelle loved making ceramics, quilting, needlepoint, and gardening.
She is survived by her husband Arthur Lewis, Jr.; daughter Katy Harimalala; sisters Celine of Madagascar and Suzanne of France; nephews Philippe and Patrick of France; as well as other nieces, nephews, and extended family living in Madagascar.
Viewing will be Friday, February 3, 2023 at 12:30 pm at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3924 Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE with a funeral service at 1 pm. Interment will be in Gracelawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital www.stjude.org.
