Theresa (Seramone) Riddleberger, 89, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2022. Theresa was born November 25, 1932 in Wilmington, DE to the late Sebastiano and Madelina Seramone.
Theresa enjoyed being part of the Willow Run Civic Association where she resided for over 60 years. Her greatest joys were spending time with her husband, daughters and her 8 brothers and sisters. The Christmas season was her favorite time of the year where she made every detail of the holiday so special. She always looked forward to the large family gatherings at Christmas, where the main topic was who’s Italian cookies were the best.
In most recent years she was able to visit the hometown of her father in Ferla, Sicily, where she was able to meet her cousins for the first time from Italy and Australia. She held these memories close in her heart. She is preceded in death and will now reunite with her husband Roy, daughter Lynn, brothers Sabby, Mike, Domenick and sisters Agnes, Rose and Pauline.
Theresa is survived by her daughters Cathy Cochran and her husband (Jeff) and Fay Elliott and her husband (Dave); her step-granddaughter Jennifer Isom; 2 brothers Joseph and Richard Seramone; special family Tom Garner, Cari and Ashley and several nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held on Monday August 1 from 6-8 pm at McCrery and Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Highway Wilmington 19808. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday morning at 10:00 am at Corpus Christi R.C. Church, 905 New Rd. Wilmington 19805. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery.
