Wanda E. Grier, age 82, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on July 3, 2022. She was born in Upland, PA, raised in Marcus Hook, PA, and was the daughter of the late Laura (Owens) and Charles Perry. Wanda graduated from Eddystone HS in 1958.
She enjoyed growing up in Marcus Hook and loved her close relationship with her cousins and other family members there. She worked briefly for Sun Ship Building as a switchboard operator before she started her most cherished career, as a devoted wife and loving mother. Wanda was active in her sons’ PTA, scouts, and many other activities. She enjoyed cake decorating, reading, crafts, and playing the piano (playing for Cokesbury UMC). Wanda was known for being extremely organized with everything she did and ran a beautiful home for her family. Her thoughts and actions in life were centered on her family and friends.
Wanda is survived by her husband of 60 years, Sewell C. Grier; two sons, Kenneth (wife Lorraine) and Steven (wife Christine), and six grandchildren.
