John Emory Crowe, 96, of Newark, DE died May 11, 2022. John was born in New York, the only child of Clyde L. and Marjorie Crowe.
After serving in the Army during World War II, he attended Union College in Schenectady, NY and then Syracuse University Law School, from which he graduated in 1960. John spent his career working as a chemist and patent attorney for the Hercules Corporation. He was a Mason for over 60 years and enjoyed sailing, downhill skiing, and refinishing furniture in his spare time.
John was predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Paula Crowe. He is survived by his son, Johnathan C. Crowe; and daughter, Jennifer A. Weinert.
Services for John will be held at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home (3710 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19808) on Friday, May 20th at 4:00 PM. Visitors may call beginning at 3:00 PM. Interment will be private.
