Esther Peischel, 90, of Marmora, NJ, formally of Wilmington, DE passed away on April 16, 2022 at Shore Medical Center after a short illness surrounded by her family. Esther was born in Quakertown, PA on October 17, 1931. She met her husband Richard and they were married on May 30, 1952. Esther was one of the first Eagles cheerleaders (Eaglets) and taught her grandchildren some cheers. She enjoyed the beach and loved and cherished her 4 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Esther was preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard, in 2008; her parents, James and Mae Johnson; and her brother, Raymond. She is survived by her sister, Minnie Scholl; her only daughter, Debbie Schaffer (Gary); her four grandchildren, Stephen Schaffer (Brooke), Matthew Schaffer (Amanda), Philip Schaffer (Kristen), and Danielle D’Intino (Tommy); and 8 great-grandchildren, which all will have great memories of their special Mom-Mom.
Family and friends are invited to a viewing and a Mass of Christian Burial at the Church of Resurrection/Saint Maximilian Kolbe Parish on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at 10:30am. The family will receive friends immediately preceding the mass from 9:30am – 10:30am. Interment will be immediately following the mass at Keller’s Church Cemetery, Bedminster Township, Bucks County, PA.
