Malin, Helen

Helen Malin, 87, of Wilmington, Delaware died peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, December 12, 2021. She was born in Wilmington to John and Rose Radick. A graduate of Conrad High School, Helen spent many years working in retail at both Kennard’s and Sears, where she made many lifelong friends. Helen married James Malin in 1954. Together they raised six daughters, who were the loves of their lives.

Helen enjoyed walks with her daughters, her Wednesday playdates, trips to the beach with her family, lunch dates with her girlfriends, and spending time with her family, including many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Helen was predeceased by her Husband, Jimmy; her Brothers, Thomas, Albert, and Ernest; her Sisters, Ann, Julia, Louise and Viola; Daughters, Linda Jo Stinson and Suzanne Edmisten; and her Grandson, Jerry Wilson. Helen is survived by her Daughters, Nancy Malin, Lee Wilson (Bill), Diane Chakar (Jeff), and Janie Jeandell (Tom), as well as 12 Grandchildren, 20 Great-Grandchildren, and One Great-Great Grandchild.

A viewing will be held Friday, December 17, 2021 at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home (3710 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19808) at 1pm. The funeral service will begin at 2pm. Burial will be private.
