Lambert, Merydth J.

We regretfully announce the passing of Merydth J. Lambert, 48, a Ridley Park native and resident of Wilmington DE. Merydth passed away on November 18, 2021, surrounded by her family and friends.

Merydth was born on November 5th, 1973, to John L. Naugle Jr. and Patricia Owens in Somers Point, NJ. She immediately brought joy and laughter into the world. Merydth went on to graduate from Ridley High School in 1992. After graduating from high school, Merydth moved to Wilmington with her loving husband and enjoyed a 20+ year career in wealth management. Merydth loved spending time in Ocean City, NJ, summers in Massanutten VA, and was an avid reader.

Merydth was a fiercely dedicated mom to her two sons, raising them to lead successful careers in the military. Anyone who has spent time with Merydth will recall her sense of humor and kindness. Family came first and was her number one priority in life, a value she instilled in all those around her. The hole left by her absence is impossible to fill.

Merydth is survived by her husband Derek Lambert (Wilmington); sons, Gavin and Aidan Lambert; mother and father, John L Naugle Jr and Patricia Owens; grandmothers, Jane Ennis and Helen Naugle; grandfather, John L Naugle; sister Lindsay Grimes; brother Patrick Naugle; numerous nieces and nephews; and countless friends. She is preceded by her grandfather, Richard P. Ennis. Merydth’s final act of compassion was to give the Gift of Life as an organ donor so that others can live.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Wounded Warrior Project: www.woundedwarriorproject.org. Merydth’s family also asks that others consider becoming organ donors to give families in need a chance for a long and happy life.

While Merydth’s family grieves her loss, they are choosing to remember her in a way that honors her spirit. Her family invites anyone that would like to say farewell to join them on Tuesday November 23,2021 for a Viewing at 3pm and immediately following, a Celebration of Life ceremony at 5pm. Both will be located at McCrery and Harra Funeral and Crematory, Inc, 3924 Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE 19803.
