Joanne “Grammy J” Theibault, age 64 of Wilmington, DE passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA, surrounded by family. Joanne was born in Hatboro, PA and grew up in Mt. Laurel, NJ. She graduated from Lenape Regional High School and attended both Burlington County Community College and Glassboro State College (now Rowan University), earning Associates and Bachelor’s degrees respectively.
A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Joanne enjoyed reading and also had hobbies including crocheting and scrapbooking. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and friends. Joanne was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Wilmington, DE for 34 years.
Joanne was preceded in death by her parents Oliver and Barbara Worthington and sister Diane. She is survived by her husband of 41 years Kevin, son Christopher Theibault of Wilmington, DE and his wife Jenna Dean, son Brian Theibault of Middletown, DE and his wife Jamie Theibault and son Matthew Theibault of Washington, DC and his wife Dr. Lindsay MacNeill and also her brother Stephen Worthington of Surprise, AZ and his wife Darlene. She absolutely adored her 5 grandchildren: Oliver, Owen, Ellowyn, Benjamin and Vivienne.
A service celebrating Joanne’s life will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 11 am in St. Paul’s United Methodist Church at 1314 Foulk Road, Wilmington, DE 19803.
