Elva Rae Stroud Jones, age 80, of Wilmington, DE passed away on August 31, 2021 in the Christiana Hospital. Elva was a dedicated educator for many years and a member of North Baptist Church. She loved the Lord, her family, and enjoyed spending time with cherished friends.
Elva was the daughter of the late Clifton and Elva Mae Lamborn Stroud. She is survived by her son R. Michael Jones, daughters Cathy Mullens and Tracy Taylor, grandchildren Stephanie, Christopher, Kimberly and Tiffany and her sister Mary Jane Hoffman. Elva was preceded in death by her husband Robert (Bob) Jones and brothers Robert and John Stroud.
A viewing will be held from 11:00-12:00 on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at North Baptist Church 3318 Silverside Road, Wilmington, DE 19810 where a service will follow at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be in Chester Bethel Cemetery.
