Clough, Betty Ann (Ward)

Betty Ann (Ward) Clough, of Wilmington, was born on April 17, 1932. On April 30, 2021 she joined her husband, Herman Gilbert Clough, Jr., her sister Beverly Butler, and all of their beloved, meticulously groomed poodles in heaven.

She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia LaRock and her husband George and their children Taresa, Joseph and Valerie and their spouses; her son Richard Clough and his wife Lori and their children Rose, Robert and Sarah and their spouses; and her son Herman Clough III and his wife Kathy and their children Charlotte, Penny, and Karie and their spouses; and a grand total of 15 great grandchildren.

Betty was the daughter of Rita and Tommy Ward but was raised by her Grandma Carey. A native of Bowers Beach, DE, Betty, Buddy and their family spent countless hours on the beaches of New Jersey, Florida and North Carolina. She loved her husband, her family, convertibles and all beautiful things. She was crowned Ms. Dover in her youth, but her family gave her such prestigious titles as Queen Sandwich Maker, Most Tanned Legs on the Beach, and Best Mom Mom Ever.

A celebration of Life will be held at McCrery and Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19808 on Wednesday, May 5 at 1:30 pm, with visitation from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm.
